FateBreak Studios

We make open worlds where fate is only the starting point.

FateBreak Studios is an independent game studio. Our worlds run on their own: people keep their hours, towns remember what you did, and the story is the one you make.

What we believe

Break the script

The name says it: we'd rather hand you a world than walk you down a path. Three bearings guide everything we build.

N · 000°

Freedom over scripts

Stories should come out of how the world works, not from a list of tasks. You choose what to chase, and the world reacts.

E · 090°

Worlds that live without you

People work, trade, celebrate and worry whether or not you're watching. Come back after a week and things will have moved on.

S · 180°

Better with a crew

Everything we make can be shared with friends: one world, one save, everyone with their own part to play.

About

A small studio with a big map

FateBreak Studios was founded by Brandon Lange to make the kind of game he always wanted to get lost in: a whole world to explore with friends, where what you do matters more than what you were told to do.

Our first game, Fatewind, is built in Unreal Engine 5. Its demo is the island of Verutha, and more islands will follow.
